In October 2013 I will commence my PhD under the supervision of Professor Liz Prettejohn at the University of York, and my research examines the use of gesture in Pre-Raphaelite paintings, within a wider framework of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century theatrical practice.

This blog is a space for me to write: reviewing events, participating in debates, sharing research interests and ultimately working through the many ideas I shall encounter on the road to Academia.
